In this atlas, the thawing of permafrost due to increasing climate warming is addressed. Pictoral worlds were generated for grounded events not yet fully explored, which illustrate different processes. The focus in the photo lab was on the visualisation of the invisible and mystical using digital photography.
Selected questions from articles and scientific contributions support the dramaturgy of the book. This underscores the unexplored and the uncertain. The only change that can be observed is an increase in temperature over the course of the book. The atlas is meant to stimulate thought and emphasise the uncertainty concerning the future.
