Strawberryfields Forever
Editorial Design
Photography and Poetrie
2019

Through today's social media, our memories are constantly being shared. What one experiences is immortalized and put on display, making the moment itself no longer count. It becomes exaggerated and helps to compensate for later empty days.
Through the critical exploration of "sharing" our experiences, a very personal book of photographically captured "strawberry moments" of my summer 2019 was created. The photographs are accompanied by text that leads the viewer through the book in a rhythmical pattern and is intended to stimulate reflection.

Strawberry Fields Forever

What exactly does this mean?
Does it even matter?

Is it the picture itself or are the feelings created most important? Aren’t memories just snapshots of feelings or do feelings paint the memory? What happens to our perception when we remove all colours – objective emotion?
Can you then feel and see, as I do, or would we still be different?
Is there a ´right` memory?
Does that even matter?
What if I turned and twisted the elements in the image as to how I see it?
Would it still be the same world we know?
Did we know the same world in the first place?
And if we conserve the moment in the course of media forever, does it change the way we picture the moment?
Does it change the way we take the picture in the first place? Does it even matter?
Aren’t all moments composed of the ‘good’ and ‘bad’?
Isn’t this inevitable as we carry both elements inside us all the time?
Is it therefore never a question of repression but of highlighting?
Don’t we always have the choice to choose our perspective?
What does forever even mean?
Does forever end with me or with the end of social media?

Does it even matter?
